@BenLow2019: The frame protector is split into two pieces. It's definitely the frame protection that sags/bulges. This review has the top piece removed it does not have a bulge. I've also seen it in person.

I believe that's the frame protector bulging, I see some Fuel owners remove it because of that bulge.

That's just for frame prices. You, however, can get a Carbon 9.7 with SLX/XT and Fox Performance/Rythm Suspension for $4,700. The EVO that's similar but uses GX is $5,400. Not really Santa Cruz prices for completes.
