Its because bikers and bike shops arent greedy and are in it together. We do it as a way of life, not just for a living. The money tends to be shared equally and nobody expects multi-million pound bonuses.

Shows that the bike industry is thriving during times where all other sectors are struggling. Props to CRC and any other companies doing well!

On the flip side, your local LBS is suffering dramatically in the recession, as it looses most of its business to CRC when people dont have that extra tenner they need to support local business when buying a new set of rubber.

Not my local bike shop, utter rubbish, doesn't stock any rubber bigger then a 2.10 If you order in he charges over the RRP. Well done CRC, my business will happily continue to go to them.

in this 'economic climate' its 100% logical to purchase parts where you get them cheapest. i would do that even if i had money to burn. we are supposed to support shops that charge over the odds but on the flip thats hardly support for us is it? not all shops are doing this though dont get me wrong

They do so well because mountian bike components have such a massive markup. And the company is run incredably well, they have diversified into varios sectors for the maximum turnover.

true, i was just sayin it would be such a loss to every biker iff they go out of busness, highly doubt it though!
