Ahh i just dont get why people hate konas so much. I know i ride one, but ive ridden commencal and specialized and i didnt really like them. Its all just personal preference.
I mean jeez, why does everyone have to f*cking dis everyone elses bikes? Cant people just ride and have a good time and respect each other. For christ sake, i don't go around f*cking people off just cos i hate their bikes, i just ride my bike and i don't care what they ride, so long as they're having a good time and they like their bike, WHO GIVES HALF A FLYING SHIT?
f*ck sake...

guancho-libre alu (alloy) is the same as in many other bikes - 7005.
Besides konas are made in Taiwan in one of the 3 big bicycle palnts that produce about 90% of bikes in the world... So there is 30% chance that your bike was made in the same place...
Apart of design flaws there is always small % of chance that your bike will fail due to material intrusions, cavities in welds, cracks in heat affected zone etc... If it was a design flow like the rockers in Kona Stinky 2006 or the chain stays in Specialized SX (old models) or the links in Giant Reign X you would see many more bikes like this with snapped head tube. So probably it was an material/welding issue or low cycle fatigue (who knows how many times before this guy has missed his landing).
