Camp of Champions - June 25th at The Dirt Jumps and The Compound

Campers sessioned the Whistler Bike Park all day then hit the River Jumps for a while then hit "The Compound" for sunset. A full day riding in Whistler. It doesn't get much better than that.

It's kinda strange to see a good vid without music. I like this better actually!

makes u focus on the riding... which was amazing by the way

Did AT get his bike back? Can Casey Groves get any smoother and stylish? Did Ken Ach 360 into the mulch pit in a speedsuit with big bear claws on it? Does Rocky Mountain Fudge still sell the White Chocolate Ice Cream still? Can anyone answer any of my pathetic questions? Lastly why is COC so f*cking rad and why wasn't I born Canadian?

Why are you so crazy? Why can't i not do these tricks? and why did my friends bike just get pinched a few hours ago? Can anyone answer these questions?

Just because these kids are riding nice bikes and at COC doesn't mean they are rich kids or from rich families. As Casey's Mom, I can tell you that we are not a rich family, we always work hard to get things that we want or are in need of. Casey was passionate about biking, as his parents we did whatever it took to support him with his riding .... that included going into debt a few times! I would say all of our hard work was certainly worth it!! Finally, I do know of a few kids that go to camp that work and save just to get there.

never said they were'nt passionate or good at biking but it is stupid how expensive this camp is and that they only show the good kids. and if ur going into debt because ur sending ur 19 year old kid to this camp naybe u should not spoil them so much

Camp is on during Crankworx this year. Kill two birds with one stone. Ride with the pros than lead their cheering section at the Slopestyle or best trick event. Ken

As a parent it is always a good idea to support what your child is interested in, especially if it keeps them in shape and healthy. And I have not gone into debt sending Casey to this camp, he is a coach there and loves it! So do the rest of the kids that take part. And stay posted because COC really supports all of their campers, there will be many photos to come!

i think thats casey groves' mom.... i went to coc for snowboarding 2 years in a row and worked pushing carts at ikea to get there. you would be suprised how many kids actually save up to have a dream come true. its really amazing when you save up for something an acomplish it!
  • + 1
The best way to describe it is if you want something, or dream of something, get to work making what ever dream you want to become real. Nothing is real until you pretend it is.
  • - 1
or a bunch of bratty rich kids that are bored so they get sent to this camp
  • + 1
i was jealous too.. then i saved up and went
  • + 2
It's pretty classic how every thinks you get "Sent" to COC. Kids actually beg all year to come to camp and when they get here they ride from sun up to sun down because it's their dream to come to camp. It's why we work so hard to make every day absolutely insane. Coming from a single parent family without two cents to rub together I know how hard everyone works for the money that camp costs, whether you are rich or poor. It's my dream to enable people to ride in an amazing place, ride amazing bikes and meet amazing people and make friends with them. Give them the opportunity that I never had. So I can understand the "F that 2 grand" I can also understand the "I want that and I will do whatever I have to do to come to camp." I collected bottles, shoveled snow, and mowed lawns to get the things I wanted. Things taste the best when you work for it and 99% of the kids that come to camp work for it. Be it getting good grades, doing chores or slaving as a dishpig. That's why camp is so fun. Everyone here wants to be here. I'd kill myself if I ran a camp where people get "Sent" We teach riders to Send It!

Bored kids go to the mall. Smart kids go biking.
