pperini, pedaling is the only way to win a DH race, and squeezing in pedal strokes through gnarly sections is a huge part of riding DH in addition to being tons of fun

The thing is you guys are used to watching massive highdollar world cup races. DO you know how much the entry fee to those races were? 35$ for everyone. I was there and those are not fast courses and Chris made them look champ. Im not saying its the ebst video ever by It does deserve VOD and the man deserve some god damn respect.

Whoever says you can race DH and not pedal must be pretty slow. I mean watch Renni,Morland, and even Romaniuk rip in Roam. They are pedalin their asses off. Ass do the rest of us.
But obviously your right, hes just so good at pumping and has whistler so dialled that he gets away with it, also racing mostly amateur racers helps.- + 2
I think one thing this video captures quite well is the sheer speed that they try to reach.
Sure, you dont see every pro rider pedaling, but as said "to win you have to pedal". Kovarik is such a monster no matter what hes riding i could care less if hes pedaling.
Hes simply pinning it, railing corners, hitting knarly lines, and thats what i like to see.

pperini isnt wright, when it comes to dh racing u pedal when ever posible, obvously not when ur busy on turns and rock sections and other technical things, but what do u do when ur not? u dont just sit down on ur seat a take a break and coast u pedal ur ass off, and he won it so what ever he does is obvously working
