Shimano vs. Sram

 notice how they put a normal shimano model against the XO instead of the XTR SHADOW...The Shadow will blow the XO away.

Doesnt matter if it moves or not , shim have play in their joints for a reason , what if a big hit comes along, if thers no movment to absorb the hit what will happen ???...SNAP..that's why you hear about XO's snapping and not XTR.....

 what does it have to do with 'being better'? Maybe it looks better but it's the actual gear changing quality that matters, and the 'jumping' does not disturb shimano's accuracy. And as combee wrote, sram is way weaker.

 Yeah. i have some Shimano XTR that I love and a new Sram X-9, the sram works well until it gets muddy then i sucks. I like shimano better.

 well i think these are first generation derailers from both companies.. do the same test on at least a 08 model.

 sram would be better if it was stronger but it isnt..
