There are so many of these camps now! It's amazing, I wish I didn't have to work 40 hours a week to pay for student loans.

highland is like a wannabe whistler....that looks sooo much better!
  • + 2
no if you are a good rider whistler is wayyyy better than that
  • + 3
quite a few people are saying Highland might even be better than Whistler (like Greg Watts did in NWD 10)
  • + 2
some other parks may have better jump trails like silverstar but for double black technical stuff theres no toutching whistler

Aaron Chase has done such an amazing job from moving from the leading edge of the sport (he's still super good, but not the best anymore) to an all around ambassador for the sport. Taking the time to teach kids like he was, hands on and actually investing in them, goes a really, really long way towards to long term enjoyment of all aspects of mountain biking. Props to him.

i don't know what any of you haters are all about...this VOD shows how much FUN riding can be for everyone, at a down-home camp, at a family owned bike park, in a colorful classy way. Yes Highland is a camp, but it's so off the map, how can this be considered a commercial? it's just a bunch of guys learning new stuff, they're not even great riders (aaron chase aside)...BUT they're having FUN...more fun than you are sitting bitching on your computer...that's why this got VOD. Well deserved.

I hate how people always compare Highland to Whistler, saying "oh, whistler is way better cause' its bigger!" well, yeah, Highlands smaller but I think they maintain their trails better, espically their jump trails. Also, you have to remember, highland's family owned while Whistler's a massive ski resort. I like Highland better cause' I'm local, but whistler still looks like an awesome place to ride. And don't hate on the riders, their just kids who like mountain biking, I've gone to the camp there and I can tell you that most of these kids can ride better than most adults.

Is it me or was that slope style very easy to do? My Grandma could do that and even pull a tail whip! Good video though, and that foam pit looks so fun.

But I guess they are just starting out.

Check out videos of the Claymore Challenge...most of the bigger stunts are before or after the Shred Shed. They have a bunch of large drops and jumps up top, and a huge showtime booter finish line jump
