2009 Scottish Champs Sunday practise

The morning practise session for the 2009 Scottish Championship Downhill. Its VERY wet, having rained all night after a beautiful Saturday. The track's MUCH harder to ride.

if i didn't know better i'd say this was a bloopers reel...then i look at that one guy's tyre that popped of the rim and wonder...how hard do you need to hit something for that to happen? tough track...

I suppose it kinda is a bloopers thing. It was practise and because it was so treacherous not many riders were pinning it. Most of the best stuff seemed to be crashes. I took the still camera out for the race runs and they were MUCH quicker.

Agreed. It wasn't much fun for the poor guys trying to get down the mountain though! Until you've been there you really can't appreciate just how steep it is.

Ya it looks wonderful from a spectator's perspective, but I wouldn't want to ride that in that weather
