Freeride/Downhill at Chicksands 2011

Riding at Chicksands with Mike, Martin and James (with Luke helping out with camera etc). Hitting drop, dual track, dh track and some jumps. Filmed on Canon 7D and GoPro.

Yeah, you'd have loved crashing there mate..... That drop at the beginning is ideal for a faceplant and you could have popped out of the berms on the dual track and everything!

Nah, seriously you'd love it there. Great for skill building and learning best line through a corner etc... Next time buddy, you gotta come along!

Yeah, you'll definitely bet a good rider mate, you've got the confidence and it's just dialing the technical stuff and you're there. You'll love the progression you see happening at Chicksands, you'll walk away knowing you're a better rider by sessioning the trails over and over. Leave the B game at home mate, you won't crash any more now, you're going to progress mate!

haha thanks dude...in that case...ill bring my A* game. Im so excited about FOD just hope my armour turns up to give me that extra confidence boost. Going to try and learn lots before then. I dont want Lewis shouting PEDAL PEDAL PEDAL at me ever again haha

No worries buddy, we'll get you there. We'll try and hit some technical trails at the weekend and get railing the corners dialed.... Don't worry too much about hitting big drops and jumps at first... focus on control, carrying your speed and the right line to take. Once you're confident there you'll feel better hitting the bigger stuff.

ok, if you had windows then I'd have given you a great sony vegas crack (mine) which would make your slomo a lot smoother! other than that the video was cool!

P.S. I am not some kind of editing critic (i hate dicks like that) but i just noticed slightly laggy slomo!

Yeah, not sure what the fps was of the slo-mo initally, only 50fps or something whereas the GoPro gives a nice 60fps which gives lovely slo-mo.... Thanks for your feedback, appreciate any comments, always room for plenty of editing improvement!
