It's not XC. The runs arn't xc runs, if they are he's going down them, no ups the bike is not an xc bike (50mm stem, wide bars through axel 130mm+ forks). The only thing XC is the open face helmet and the Lycra.
If I wear lyrca and an open face next time I hit up 'dans le gaz' in Les Gets does that mean I do insane XC too?

he was riding an aluminium hardtail with his own cockpit choice which comes from riding DH bikes., and this trail is what we use to ride out of the city to the peak disctrict... its the definition of cross-country. I didn't include the ups in the video as well.. they're not that exciting to watch.

Sweet riding, it is all mountain, not xc but I don't think that really matters, the riding is fast. The type of riding isn't defined by the bike. We always see people that try and hit the bike parks with xc bikes, that doesn't make it xc, its still DH.

One man's all mountain is another man's XC... there are too many terms for describing riding a bike.

to be fair yetiboyjay a) he is ripping down that and b) you say its not xc because he is not riding up the hill - how boring would filming him ride up a hill slowly be! You wouldn't watch that would you.

All I'm saying is, that is not traditional XC riding. It seems it's been termed XC to make people say wow, fast xc. I am not at all trying to be a dick, the dude is shredding no doubt. It's just not proper XC.

i ride xc on my trail bike and have a short steam for better control and wide bars 770s the way to make riding funn is to push the limits thats what makes the sport better and better every day

when do you ever get of your bike in xc get your riding down cause the type of bike racing that you get off your bike is called cyclecross not cross country

our XC in this country is other peoples version of AM/ DH enduro. it does get quite technical at times. if you want a go at some "XC" riding in the uk take a trip to the peak district.

Also I think the problem is a lot of people have these days is that lot of mainly younger generation riders genuinely belive you can't do certain things with certain bikes.
And lot of what they call DH is pretty tame and lame so they take it personally when some one shreds gnarlyer trails then they ride with an ' XC ' bike.

I Dont know whether your messing, but he only has one chain ring on the front, therefore he does not need a LH shifter
