how the hell do you get soo many comments. What kind of editing software do you use? You must have gotten a vod by now? That was some pretty cool places which you got on your gopro. Maybe it's the diversity of being from a place which is on the other side of the earth, when pinkbike is made up with ninety percent of the users which are from Canada and the United States.

Thank you buddy! I just usually answer each comment with a proper answer. I use the I-Movie editing software that came stock on my mac. As for a VOD no! Not yet and I think I need some backflips to get VOD, hahahahhahahahahah Yes, the trials here in Japan are unique and the gopro does an awesome job! I would like to capture the beauty of Japan in my videos while riding hard! Thank you for the positive comments dude! RidEOn!

Please repeat yourself man! I love your comments! We just love to ride and have fun! It awesome and actually editing is difficult as it takes a huge amount of time, hahhahahahhhhahah RideOn Method Man!!!!!
  • + 1
Well I know something about editing...like U said it takes a huge amount of time and it's difficult in two words...long and laborious...I hate it...but the final effect is crowning everything so...I love it!! hahahahaWink

Thank you dude! You hit the nail on the spot! The final version if well received its awesome! ridEOn!
  • + 1
Very nice! tup Liked the beginning, riding though the forest/woods, rocks, etc. Was that a small dirt jump/pump track? It's going to be a blast riding with you later this year!
  • + 1
Yes my friend Momo has a rice field that his parents don't use anymore. So, this last winter we started building a pump DJ spot. It going to take time but should start growing little by little! I too am stoked to ride with you and our crew! RidEOn!

 That's nice!

This may sound like a stupid question but how does the locals feel when people build trails and stuff like that? Do they care?
  • + 1
 Well, yes they do!
All three trails here in this one video are our trials.
We have permission to build and use this land for biking.
Im really happy because I know if I were in Cali it would not be so.
Its allowed up to create and have fun.
The first trial we are allowed to use and build but need to keep it natural so, very little wood work other than natural materials we pick up.
The other 2 we have free reign to build and have fun.

that being said its difficult usually only having sundays to either build or ride.

But we do both and balance it out greatly!

We have one more trial with lots of ladder jumps and drops if you look in my older videos its named nuki jumps but, we had permission to build there and then in this last year the locals changed their minds and have asked up to take down the jumps.
We used all wood features so the natural landscape is 90% untouched.
We have slowly been taking her down but its sad. in the middle of the trail we still have an awesome jump section of 3 big table tops.
RidEOn man!

That's cool! I like builders who also take into consideration the landscape, the surroundings and the impact it will have to area. There are some places that I've seen where the builders just didn't take any of that into consideration. While it may be a cool ride it's disrespectful, IMHO.

It also doesn't support our sport.

I don't want this to become a political thread Smile but I think it's cool that you and your guys check with the owners. tup Most of the builders I know do that too when they can.

I look forward to seeing how Momo's field evolves ! Razz

 Thank you!
We ride lots of trails with out asking and clean lots of trials.
But if we want to dig or build a drop we only do so on the trails we have permission to do so.

Im a very big nature boy so I enforce future impact on what we are doing.
I ask my friends before we start building what do think of this in 5 years, 10 years?
So, My idea is to build it natural and burly that it will be there with a strong foundation for years to come.
A lot of dudes just build random things and with no consideration to nature. Like cutting small trees or digging out rocks.
I only allow them to build around trees and jump or go around the rocks.
Japan's mountains have been used by people for 10,000 years now and I dont want to claimed as someone who has harmed the natural ecosystem.
I think we do a great job and my American perspective has really opened my friends eyes.
Modern Japan is about forgetting the past and building a technological future but, I feel they need to do the exact opposite. Hone your past to help create a naturalistic future.

Momo's trail is slow growing but it will evolve and so will laputa too the last section in the video!

Thank you Rob!!

That's cool and the right approach. tup I'm not a trail builder but have helped mend and maintain them when I can. At the very least I try to collect any litter I find as I make my way to the top.

Trail building is not as easy as people think. It's an art and science. Some of the best builds I've seen and had the privilege of riding are blended into nature as if they were there naturally. Those are the best, IMO tup

I've seen and ridden on some really bad builds. People get hurt on those and it becomes the stereotype for all builds.

Fortunately for me, the builders I know are really good and they do try limit the impact it has on the surroundings.

Anyway, great work! You should do some sort of time lapse photography of Momo's field Camera
  • + 1
Thank you man! Last time we dug there I though about doing a time laps or anytime we build. This past winter we did tons of building all on the opening trial here and thought about doing a time laps but, It takes a lot of film and to film for 30-40 minutes might wear out the gopro, hahahhahhahah Some time I will, I have one vide where I fix the Laputa trail but that was a long time ago now! i will have to think of something cool! RidEOn!
  • + 1
Maybe take a few minutes of you guys building it. Take a 2-3 minute video clip each time you guys work on it. If you could put the camera in the exact same spot each time that would give you a great time lapse. Camera

I thought the GoPro had a time-lapse type feature? If not I may be thinking about a different camera. Before I bought the Contour I was looking at a few and I recall one of them having that "time lapse" feature where it would take a few frames every x-minutes.
  • + 1
Yes, I can do a 2 second delay of pictures on the gopro but for a time lapse I usually just let it roll and then high speed the footage. A times lapse is always cool so I will have to set more up. But for a very cool time lapse the longer you film the cool it comes out. Thank you for the advise! RidEOn!

I've noticed that the GoPro's are coming down in price so I might have to get one. Have you seen the 3D version?
  • + 1
I have never seen the 3d version!
I have herd of it but I wonder how do edit the 3d?
If its the same I would love to try a 3D gopro!
The gopro is a cool little toy!
RideOn!
  • + 1
Basically you take two GoPro's and stick them together: gopro.com/hd-hero-accessories/3d-hero-system
