that happened to me before, and yeah you just go to the shop and he can do it pretty quickly for around 10-15 bucks. although when this happened to me, my pedals got screwed up too. and my pedals threading got rubbed off so i had to spend more like $120 to get new cranks/pedals :/

thats not the pedal axle, thats the crank. take it to bikesport tomorrow. its a 10 minute job but i dont have the tools to do it.
