Si Parsons Cambu "Trailer"
A short edit of some footage I shot with Simon Parsons, Specialized Uk, back in March. We still plan to shoot more for a longer edit but due to weather and both of us having other plans we cannot do this for a while yet so hope you enjoy this short vid.

cool video but dont export at 60frames per second, export it at 24 or else the videos look flickery and odd to the human eye

there's just something about 60p that makes it noticble, its like unnaturally smooth which in turn makes it flicker
it's hard to explain haha

that would explain the slow mo parts then
don't slowmo past 24p or it looks stuttery, so never go below 50% slow mo. I prefer to shoot in 60p and 30p then edit at 24, but that's not the british PAL way of doing things, NTSC ftw

What? No.
I shot the full thing at 50fps cos I'm lazy and rendered it to 50fps cos I am equally as lazy. Or is that what you meant?

What i mean is, if you slow mo 50fps footage to 50% you're slowing each frames speed by a half so the fraemrate in the slowmo bits will be 25fps, if you go past 50% to say 40 or 30, the actual framrate of that clip will go closer to 20 which our eyes see as stuttery

I can see what hes saying, does make sense and it is noticeable. Think when si showed me the video on vimeo ages ago I mentioned to him to say about it

Yeah, I do see it. I just dunno very much about video and it's a slow process of learning something new each time I make a video.
