I like the sound of my Ringle hub, it's much louder than a King, and slightly louder than a Hadley. The sound a King makes is truly unique though, not sure if I like it or not, never heard one that was completely broken in, in person, only a brand new one.

Yeah ive ridden Ringle Abbahs, Hadleys, Mavic, This King I have now...

So far the Ringle ARE the loudest outta the bunch.. But the thing about the King is that its like you said, Unique.. I love mine soooo much!! Hasnt given me one problem yet and Im not easy on parts so(Im a little bit of a Hack)..

If I were to build a new wheel Id definitly consider a Ringle... Just cause they are sooo easy to service!!

Really... I have no idea how to take mine apart... Manual says an allan key goes into the axle.. but there is no flats in there for the allan key to grip. Mines the Abbah S.O.S., so maybe that has something to do with it.

chris king is in its own league. it has its own pattented ring drive and thats what i feel makes chris stand out, everyone else is still stuck using pawls and similar ideas. although dt has come out with ratcheted drive rings that is pretty cool. hope sucks....

thats fuckn awesome. im probz guna get 1. do they need alot of service. my ringle abbah is crap. it noisy, but the freewheel keeps going. im sick of it. everytime it goes i av to pay 40gbp, i had ma demo 9 since feburary it gon 3times. not good. im getting the 150x12 black king hub to match my front

Yeah this vid was to showcase the click of a King... But at the end of the day its all about the quality machined into this hub... I cant say enough on how great this hub is!! Plus its backed by a 5-year warranty!!! Its not just a standard pawl system.. Its ringdrive.... My faith is my all-around ride so I wanted something up to the task and this hub has been nothing but amazingness!!!

try doing trials.. CK ring drive can fail.. and my mate broke his heavy duty axle with 360 doing street.. it all can ....please dont bother me with green factory's.. biggest scam ever.. not personal to CK but the whole world gone crazy over some co2..

Try doing trials?? Its on a f*ckin' downhill bike... Everything can fail! But this hasnt and IM stoked about it!

By the way.. Im not "Bothering" you when I mentionned about the green-ness or Kings' factory, it was worth a mention! Well youll see what the world will become in about 15 years "over some co2"..

8)..dont think "normal riding" would kill a king BTW..
but dont take it too personal.. sjeesh..be stoked..be happy.. but dont put CK to a god standard..
and you could have picked a coloured hub ?..

Ahhh Dude dont get me wrong!.. I know I was an arse but to me Kings' are godly! This hub has been worked this past season and shes still like brand new.. Yea I was trying to get a colored one but the Canadian distibuter for King really sucks when it comes to ordering early in the season. There is plenty of good hubs out there though.. Hope, Ringle..

we have that too in holland "bike2build" the new trials hubs came only in black from hope what a laugh,, ..really stupid.. got mine from england.... i know one mate who trials with a king he made//machined his own axle, bolts, and left bering cup..
i got the headsets.. but no hubs.. still the sound is better than hope.. i'll give you that bro..hope trial hub irritates me when riding sometimes.. > i like the quiet times ..now and then.. 8)

Yea the sound is pretty unique.. When I first got I was laughing all the time!! Now though I get so concentrated on what im doing, that I really doing even notice my hub.. Yea those Hope trials/SS hubs are really loud, at-least you know the springs are working unlike f*cking mavic hubs!! haha

yea mine is really loud. i was sitting outside my lbs putting my wheel on and i spun the wheel real hard and my friend said he heard it from like 8 feet away(inside the shop and closed door).

but yea its really f*cking loud

lol i went riding a while back and i hit a kicker, it got reall quiet mid air. then when i landed one of the kids that i was riding wiht was like, dude, ur hub sounds amazing. and im like indeed, no better than a chris king

Ahhhh dude this thing sounds pissed off when its freewheeling off jumps or just goin down the trail.. Hahaha the other day I was stressed out and pissed off.. So I decided to go out for a little ride, Anyways I was debating bringing my Ipod with me but than I realized my rear hub was all the music I needed... Nothing sounds better than a free-wheeling king going off a jump!!...

Anyways so far my King has stood up to anything and everything!! Im not exactly a guy thats sends shit but im in no means a smooth rider.. The Ring Drive was to me the thing that was appealing, Also 5-year warranty and the fact that the King factory is almost 100% Green! Trust me this hub has paid for itself! hahaha
