This is a great story! I've been wanting soooo bad for some LEGAL freeride trails in my hometown. I live in one of the most bike-friendly cities in the U.S. and its all good until people become good at it, then...were shuned. Needless to say, Im not happy about it. I know of a couple local bike clubs who have worked with land owners before to build stuff before, and got permission. But eventually...someone new came along and decided they didnt like it so they had it destroyed. I'm planning on joining a club and bringing up the DH/FR topic. I just sure hope we can make a deal.
