thats a bad weld, usually they tear on the metal never through the weld.....

Thats not a bad weld, a good sound weld will always break right down the middle, a bad weld will break on the either edge because it lacks sufficient penetration and tie in to the base metal. All that happened here was that the weld was pushed further then its capabilities. I am not trying to be a smart ass but welding is what I do for a living (15+yrs and counting)

ca ce refait depend toujuours sur la condition de ton alu ,et oui le duct tape est une bonne solution mais cé a tes risque ,lol
ont aurrai pus le renforcir un peut avec 2 petite plaque et mettre ca clean
