Did the race in 1990. Same bike for the hill climb, DH and dual slalom. Bar ends with a bit of PVC pipe worked for bashing gates. Herbold and Cindy Devine were winners of the DH. Tension disc and first gen rock shox ftw!

Was that the year that H-ball flatted and still passed people on the DH? I was there for that...pretty awesome times...riding from the top on all gravel roads, under the chain stay mounted U-brake and fully rigid was crazy...an amazing DH back in the day, I burned myself on my rims by accident...lol.

People back then actually had skills, as opposed to today where people rely on things like suspension and hydrolic brakes to save them when they mess up.
