Skibike Crash at 53.4 mph

Straight-lining a black diamond when things get out of hand. GPS said the maximum speed was 53.4 miles per hour, which was immediately before the crash. Concussion inducing.

After the first 10 seconds I would have been scared to go any faster with something without brakes.

Were you alright afterwards?

It has brakes just as much as any ski or snowboard does though. Carve to slow down.

I crashed earlier that day messing up a 10ft/3m jump, and hit my head pretty hard, so a minor concussion there. Afterwards felt ill and nauseated all day, so there was probably some cranial swelling. I wasn't going to be concerned unless I started vomiting. Then this happened. My nausea went away and I had a pretty bad headache. I went home and stayed around people and up for the next 13 hours to keep an eye on myself, and my situation wasn't deteriorating, so I went to bed.

I'm sore all over. My arm, neck, back. I've honestly wondered what it would be like jumping out of a vehicle at highway speeds. I guess this is it.

Was this supposed to end any different haha?

Now just go 30-mph faster and you will match the average speed for the World-Cup Skibob races.

I think I could have if it wasn't for that damn bump! Razz

Crashing skis on groomers hurts, and I don't even go that fast, that just looked brutal as fuck.
