 Thank you! I had a great little ride. I woke up with no work and a morning of snow. I was a little reluctant to go out and ride but was glad I did. The trial is pretty steep, so its a slow rolling trials as its rocky and twisty and you cant really let the brakes go or you'll get out of control. The snow just snowballed the experience, ahahhahahhahahah I randomly found this song as was stoked to find such a charming video for the CherryBomb! Now, that I have settled on the air pressure the bike is very balanced and playful. It has a great balance between a firm and plush ride. Meaning on fast rocky sections she sinks deep in the travel feeling very plush but when I have to pop the rear or hop a section it feels firm and bunnies to the occasion. Im loving the new Cherry! rideOn!

 Yes, it just started to snow in the morning and all the snow was fresh powder. The contrast between the green and white was very beautiful in person! The song was just a match to my bike the CherryBomb, ahhahahhahah It fit quite well! RideOn mate!

 Thank you Waki! Thats why I was taking it easy and going super slow. The roots and rocks were super slippery. It was -3 degrees yesterday morning during my ride and probably around -1 when I finished. The steep sections feels good but very sketchy! hhahhahha RideOn mate!

 yea, when temperature drops to subzero fast an well under, it is not a problem as most roots will stay dry. But if it's around 0, freezing, defreezing water and moisture all the time, then holy macaroni - it will teach you 1.How to find good braking spots 2. How to stay off the brakes. Instant punishment for test failure


This is what I like about riding in weird conditions, you can learn some good stuff if you just look for the positives and stay smart

I realized early in this ride I had to stay off the front brake 85% and keep my speed slow enough to just tap the rear and roll through each section.

I also felt a need to stay over the bars and push the bike into the rocks and roots to capture traction so I could ease the need to brake.

All in all I stayed on and didnt crash!

I also upped the compression on the rear as I wanted to feel each bump rather than letting the sag take the blunt force.
In doing so, I could determine if I was slipping and compensate my weight saving my arse, ahahahhaha

 Yes!
I know as a standard it sounds backwards, but with 50% increase in compression your able to put control back into your muscles rather than relying on the shock to take the forces.
On rainy days too, I add 50% low speed compression.

Remember, Im riding 15-20% slower than usual so, the stiffer rear feels like you have control.
When at high dry speed less compression and more sailing, ahahaahhah

 Yes, thank you Manny! Danger is very right, I was thinking of going higher but decided to call it quits about half way up. The snow was getting thicker and if I slipped it would not have been pretty! Man, that surely looks cold, but it's a beautiful scenery! I didn't know it snows in Kyushu, but my folks tell me that it's crazy-snowy winter in To~hoku area this winter. (I actually was just Yokohama/home over the holidays for 3.5wks for the 1st time in 4yrs, or 1st New Year there in over 10yrs. It was nice, especially for kids/grands.)

The Snow is actually very little here for us but yes in norther Japan its outrageous!
They have over 5 meters of snow and they say its a first in 47 years!

  so how many degree rising?

 Every morning her in my city is usually about -4 to 0 degrees. But as february is here it will start to get warmer. Today was very nice! Tomorrow morning is to be -2 and the afternoon will heat up to about 5-8 degrees! Very warm! RideOn! My bar is about 25mm rise, it feels great! I have it cut to 760mm which I like, ahahhahha

 The bar is 760mm with a 25mm rise and 4 degree back and 8 degree up. They feel very cool!
