I am not sure how I feel about an advertisement being the VOD, but I guess if the sick riding is there to back it up then I sure as hell don't care.
5.10 has some competition now, hopefully that will make both Teva and 5.10 innovate.

I got some free Shoes from Teva a while back and to be honest the Teva links suck. Although the Teva Mids they send me a few weeks ago are much better they changed the rubber under the shoes and made the shoe sit on your ankle so its now a top shoe I don't know why they bother advertising these old shoes when they suck if they spent more time hyping up the release of the Teva Links Mid it would be a much more successful shoe ...

AND MAKE BIGGER SIZES. This pisses me right off, If they can make them for Minnaar, then they should be able to make the for me.

Nice video, but maybe pinkbike should consider making a new category for "Advertisement of the Day" and let the lesser known, average riders have a chance with VOD like it used to be.

bring on the neg props, but while I think it is awesome that Teva is innovating and bringing great shoes to mountain bikers, their intense marketing is getting slightly irritating for me. I feel like they've had more vods in the last month than average people who are dedicating lots of time and work to their filmmaking / riding. Don't get me wrong, this was an awesome video like all their others, but I agree with @phatsmoker and @SHEESHKAH in that these advertisements are starting to take over what used to be an awesome way to recognize riders with fewer sponsors than McGazza, etc.

you do realize Teva is the one paying for this video to be made, so so what if it is an advertisement, we end up getting sweet professionally done videos for free!

im with backyardbiker. its a really well done video with great riding, so why not vod? also i have the links shoes and i really like them with the only problem being that the material around the inside of the heel falls apart and peels off if you wear an ankle brace with them. they need to reinforce that material so im not stuck with just a piece of plastic holding my heel in the shoe!

Who cares if it's an advertisement? It was a good video and good riding, and this is a free website so where else do you expect PB to get their money from? If I have to watch a good video that promotes a product every once in a while in exchange for all the free services that Pinkbike provides us with, I'm totally fine with that! Ok rant over... sorry it's just been bugging me for a while and i had to get it off my chest

incredible trails, genuine ridin style, but that walkin through water is one of the most stupid thing ever seen. just reminds me that: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe3St1GgoHQ

Actually, what I recommend, is taping a point-and-shoot camera such as a Nikon or Canon to your chest. I find the difference in quality is just amazing.

Soo you ride around with point and shoot "taped" to your chest? Sounds sturdy. Not hating just curious. Is that what you do or have you configured some revolutionary system?

yeah really i would like to see it too, duct tape?, packing tape? do you attach the tape to your nipples?

I did see some people riding with big cams on their chests, but it's clumsy, and the risk is far too high...
Also GoPro does have a good quality

unless you have a great chest mount, some mulla to spare and a wide as f$%k lense, than its really a step backward in quality, and the added wieght will add a shit tone of camera shake that will make it unviewable

Uh actually I did it and it was so sick cos the weight from the camera kinda helped pull my body around to do really steezy whips, plus, I used a chest mount+some tape but I also screwed a baseplate into the side of a nikon so it was chill. But my Nikon was f***king around after a few runs and the display screen suddenly went black and couldn’t turn on. But I got the footage and it was CRAZY GOOD.

I need those shoes... Oh wait... I dont...They don't make you a better rider so what's the point of them??!!??
- + 3
That's not entirely true now, is it?! Shoes designed to work on DH and DJ flat pedals are going to help you stay more in control of you bike, which will make you a better rider. They won't make a pro rider out of you if you are just a beginner, but they will give you more control and more confidence. And you need both control and confidence to push you skills to the next level.
