How To: Fox 36 Peg Mod

Just a peg mod I came up with for a Fox 36. I personally think this is the smartest thing I have thought up and am disappointed I didn't think of it sooner.

Atta boy Tom, I'v been dying to say something for the last few days since ya text me but I didn't wanna spoil the surprise, I think I may get a 19mm crank when I replace mine and get a Ti spindle use the steel one for this.

good thinking man. gives my an idea i have an old dmr spindle from my dead cheiftans , and its 20mm. dont think it would work with the circus tho.

With the Circus you already have a good axle that can be used for pegs. You just need a better bolt for it. If its the same as the old Manitou Shermans, I mean.

Really good idea, when you say flush mount spacers what exactly are you using, they are obviously 20mm right??, but the spindle itself isn't 20mm??

You know those little washer things that generally come with the crank bolts?

Those are what I'm talking about.

oh rad thanks man I have tons of those

Holy shit, just realized I have a spare ti spindle, a Fox 36, and the necessary bolts for this!

what im wondering abou is..19mm spindle...20mm hub?
  • + 1
Just think to what happens when you tighten something down on two ends.

yeah i guess that 1mm of space doesnt really matter...i feel like the wheel would go up and down..

 Not at all.

how are the flat bars vs. the risers? im thinking flatties for the new build.
  • + 1
I like them better but its all personal preference.

does this work on rock shox?

Should be the same idea. This is just a crude version. I have since gotten some Nine4 Customs axles to properly fit for this mod.
