Chute line at Rampage

This was my unique chute line from the 2012 Rampage, unfortunately it did not work as I had hoped due to people hiking across my landing so I had to drop it short rather than sending it deeper

I think you were supposed to go left and tag that sender!!!! And then the booter. But what do I know?

Hindsight, I should have... Everyone who hit the sender qualified for finals. I wanted a unique line that didn't utilize any of the wood. It was my first Rampage, so I didn't know any better... If I get to go back, I will hit the biggest line there. I actually wanted to hit the Granola Cruncher gap that Hopkins overshot, but couldn't get the speed from my line. Ya live, ya learn, hopefully I get to go back!

Yeah hindsight is 20/20. Jelly you got to go and be part. Still could not fathom those lines!! Yeah go big or go home? Overused for sure but still. Bike looked dope tho?

Thanks buddy! Hopkins and I debated the speed, he thought it was faster than I did, I thought it was slower than he did. I think he hit it faster than planned and went way too big. Yeah, I wish I woulda just sent it, but www.pinkbike.com/photo/8754526 its not like I held back too much...

My entire line was built before we were able to ride/practice, so once I realized it didn't work super well, I just had to deal with it, wasnt about to build a whole new line... No regrets, so stoked on the event, best event/day of riding of my entire life!

Hopefully Rampage will happen again next year for me so we can have some more good times out there, but lets definitely do some GR trips! I may be living in GJ, so its only 100 miles for me from there

that'll be the tightest! 100 miles... man that's nothing.

Possibly gap over the sign to your right and into the landing of the smaller drop?

Bourdo and i considered it but the run in would be challenging to make work... And it would be like 82 feet point to point with a hip and sniper landing... Not ideal for something that large

Nice line, I would love a chance to ride out there, looks so rad!
