My Granny recently gave me my Grandads war record. After doing a little research, I found out from the 12th October 1942 he was stationed up in the Northern Isles of Orkney. And stayed there for over a year before being shipped off to the Far East. So 70 years later, minus 2 days, I would make the same journey. Part 1: The epic downhill of General Wades old military road into Kinlochleven.
