just realized hes got toe straps.... no longer favorite rider...
  • + 3
Pretty much all freestyle fixed gear riders have toe straps. To be honest I even think I am the only one without toe straps.. Never seen anyone else ride without, especially not on freestyle

I find it pretty funny, how if a park rides lands a truck that sketchy he is mocked, but if a sheet rider does its all good.
  • + 2
How is his feeble to truck sketchy? He lands it perfectly, if you pause it on the right moment you see he catches his bar right before his wheels hit the ground, and he doesn't loose any flow or make it look awkward. IMO the feeble to truck was landed fairly smoothly, especially in a situation like that.
  • + 1
he catches when he hits the ground. he also lands at about 265*... if a park rider did that out, say a 720 bar over a spine, the amount people would complain would be crazy.
  • + 2
Well, first thing I noticed about the feeble truck was that it was a feeble 270 bar. I picked that up first thing, but in fairness........ That's bad ass! Also, watch a lot of BMX videos. You'll notice the exact same thing A LOT! It's during those judged park competitions that people get insanely stupid about landing just perfectly.
  • + 1
yeah i know, its just 270. its more in threads on here when people complain about park riders being not so smooth. like harry mains 1080s and stuff, people on here are like "he landed back wheel first, sketchy park rat" basically all the people who would call them selfs "mature street riders"

 Morons.
Why complain about shit you can't do?
Why worry about what some one else is doing?

That's why these people will never make it anywhere.

yeah haha, i'm not trying to put a downer on this guys riding, just a good example of it compared to park.

I think FGFS is cool but it just seems unnecessarily awkward/ sketchy. Essentially the bikes are just adapted 26" Street MTB's or if your really badass 29". Maybe it's just me but I think Fixed gear is only really beneficial on a track/ road environment, any other application just seems like hard work!

It's something you need to experience yourself. I agree it's definitely harder, but it also has something that is a lot of fun. Just like why ride a mtb, when BMX is easier? Or why ride BMX is scooters are easier? And the fixed gear thing adds some stuff which is fun for techy tricks, which you can't do with a freewheel. For example if you do a wheelie you don't need to use your brake: if you lean too much to the front it's the same is on any bike: you pedal harder to get back in balance. But with fixed gear it also works the other direction: if you lean too much to the back, you just pedal less hard and you get back into balance. There's no bike that wheelies just as smooth as a fixie. Also skids combos, like a flat 360 rotation where you skid the first 180 degrees and go straight into a slider. And you can pedal backwards and gain speed going backwards. Which is really nice for fakie / backwards manuals, and stuff like Steven Jensen does at for example 1:30 and 02:18. FGFS is definitely different and has both it's upsides and downsides compared to street with a freewheel. But in the end it's all about the fun you have while riding the bike. I like both.

So Martin....... You go both ways?

Wink

Let's also not forget that the very root of flatland and trick bike riding started on fixed gear bikes.
BMX bikes didn't start out using pegs. Neither did MTB, There is nothing wrong with natural progression and evolution.

henry in this vid your crush to 270 is tapped before 180 , i dont think you can talk about this guys feeble bar 270
  • + 0
you stupid :L ? you missed the point..
  • + 1
Nash he wasn't complaining about the guys riding he was saying In street so much more is accepted and in park you're expected to be super clean and perfect
  • + 1
i know that , thats why i said that his "crush to 270" wasnt a clean 270 , isnt that how its suppose to be done about park riding?
  • + 0
to be honest you just helped my point...
  • + 1
 yes and no
  • + 0
 just yes. hahahahaa
  • + 1
no one is complaining about it under your video ?

Long story short: you're complaining that no one complains?
  • + 1
I never meant it about my self... I'm a street dawg. Hence why I used Harry main as an example
