Definitely go in with more speed and try stepping down on the left.

If you've done the step up, just coast and put in a few right before the drop. Although that step up can sometimes be a bitch to clear. If you're not doing the step up just haul ass in to it.

it was my first time on the trail so i scooped the big step up. ill hit it next time though
