Why would GT allow one of their riders to race on a damaged frame? That's almost as jacked up as being glad Soderstrom crashed at Crankworks... GT must be full of douchebags.

Guys, no... it's a safety feature. GT has incorporated this technology in all their new frames. If you experience an impact so severe that your body will explode, the bike absorbs all of the force and genitally lowers you down to the ground.

Good thing my fury just came in the mail. I sure hope this doesn't happen to me!

oh come ffs grow up, how many bikes do you see land short on a jump like that and snap? he hit it perfect for it to snap front wheel just over the lip of the landing. if your not going to buy because of this then may as well give up as there are loads of videos of bikes doing this. probably all of them somewhere. i'd still buy one best bike i've owned a Fury.

This new material that GT is using doesn't seem to be up to the task for DH abuse: they should go back to what they were using before Wink

 Holly Cow. Right in half!

It's worse that it was the frame not the weld

You can just see GT thinking OK, what can we say to mitigate these videos? I know, how about something unverifiable, like "it was damaged by baggage handlers". Please....

all bikes snap sometimes it's just natural. but i couldn't run one just because they look so bad.

no wonder it snaps if he came short on that jump!
  • + 2
Yes but bikes are meant to take that sort of impact..

Agree Tom its ment to be stronger and great but my Sunday would probably case that fine and get through but. Think I would be worse for wear
