 brandon, you are an idiot. That shock is dangerous. The only one's ruining CC's rep is CC (well, and maybe specialized)

 id say its not CCs fault that spec designed a shock yoke that is hard on the shock. you dont see them snap/fail on a regular basis on anything other than speshs.

 True, it's definitely more Speci's fault. But the fact that specialized is always pitching these sort of "integration" designs makes me think CC is just as culpable.

 all that proprietary crap is on the manufacturer itself (IMO). CC just makes what spesh asks for.. (trek and their proprietary shock sizing is also coming to mind right now as well )

these are the only frames i hear that eat up shocks CONSTANTLY (not just CC shocks). So.. what does that say to you?

 If you read the description, I agree with you already. The Demo 8's swing link is a horrible design. However, the DB is stocked on the frame, and people have a right to know that their shock could kill them at any moment. I've already snapped one, and I'm lucky I'm not dead. Also, I've seen and heard of snapped double barrels on more frames than just Demo 8s. Ultimately, if it has a company logo, it is the responsibility of that company to support their product, especially if they are supplying said product as the OEM shock for the best selling DH frame in the world.

i rarely hear of issues about their shocks that are not on spesh rigs.. hell, i hear more about how people (and even some 'certified' suspension mechanics) have issues with bleeding them properly when theyre rebuilding them

 There's no doubt that Cane Creek's own service centers can screw up a rebuild on the DB haha. But, DB's do snap on quite a few frames, and unfortunately for CC, it's not isolated to just the Demo.
