 Turns straight over, runs for a bit just fine, the. Starts to stutter. It recovers with throttle (which is why the turbo spools) but then you take off the throttle and the above happens

 Try searching for a mk2 diesel golf. Since they use the same engine?

 It is a mk2 diesel golf engine haha. Just swapped it in... Also no they are slightly better. basically better bits bolted to the same lump

 No, but it started to work now so... oh well. Tried the google, and a few golf sites, no luck, and my bentley manual said nothing about it.

 A wee leak, bit nothing serious, also a split rad hose, but supper glue fixes that
