 the official statement from Peaty ..... "Ok everyone, this is Ben Bunny McGowan, he is the reason I got a 2nd run yesterday and I just chatted with him about his injuries. He has 2 broken vertebrae and a dislocated shoulder, (in his words"all fixable") he was doing @adbrayton a favour by taking his bike to the bottom, he didn't steal it!!!! The rumours are now cleared up and I want to say heal fast Ben, no probs about my re run!! I needed it. Cheers"

 there was a post to clear this up, the guy was helping out by taking a blokes bike down the trail after he cased a triple and hit a tree, leaving a gash all up his right shin. and than was egged on by other spectators to ride it down and this happened. still stupid but there was so much peer pressure.

 Everyones saying he was trying to steal the bike but if you was going to steal a bike you wouldnt ride down the track in front of eveybody from what i can see he were taking it down for lad got egged on by people n had a rush of blood n thought he would ride it down .i hope he is ok .we all do something stupid at times

 I feel really sorry for him, his head was hit at least five times, and he probably has a major concussion.
