Kid vs Downhill Mountain Biker

One of the scariest moments I've had on a bike! Coming up over the top of a blind drop to find a small child on the down-ramp is definitely not what you want to see. I did everything in my power to slow as much as I could, unfortunately we chose the same direction to avoid each other... Luckily we both escaped shaken, but unharmed.

 Huge props on how both you and the parent handled that! Emotions would be running high for both of you and you were both so respectful. Well done mate! Thank goodness that little dude wash;t standing a few feet closer rather than just at the end of your brake's runout. God that would be scary...I'd rather hit just about anything other than a little one.

 I've had close encounters with dogs before, but speeding towards this kid was an entirely different feeling. I actually thought for a moment, f*ck, I could kill him here...

 Theres nothing worse than coming across something like that on a trail, I came down a chute and round a berm to find a whole family; kids, parents, grandparents and a dog, walking up the trail. narrowly missed them all.

 dude that's one lucky kid and you're one lucky man. That could have been soooooo much worse but thanks to your quick thinking you tapped the kid and no one was hurt too badly.

 usually the parents would find a way to blame you... but in this case I am surprised mom is not sorry enough... why he was let go to that spot is beyond me,,, you are waaaaay nicer than I am.
