My friends first time on a downhill bike, and his first time at the park... He didn't realize he was coming up on a huge road gap. He went for it anyway. #failofthemonth

Technically, he stomped the shit out of it. No wonky air or bailing or skidding out landing. Just took a bad hop really.

That is Snowshoe Mtn, West Virginia. (part of the PRO / GRT DH course.) --and when taking a friend out for the first time you should be leading? ;-)

I thought he was going to roll it and stop. I was more speechless, and jaw dropped when it happened. That's why I didn't say anything. I ran down there after the video cut

Road gap was put in for Gravity series race. Blue trail as stated is a right hand turn before that.

I love Snowshoe. Just got back form National's last month. I'd love to go and hit some of their DH stuff.

What is a road gap doing on a blue square trail? What am I missing here?

He had no idea what he was about to hit. Lol

You would feel differently had he broken his neck. You should have been leading with a newb. (and of course you should not have been on the race course as it was closed that day.)
