Yes, brand new bike entirely. Otherwise a fully Shimano drivetrain. The front derailleur is set up exactly to Shimano's spec. If you look at the other video in this album (Shimano Chain Shift) you'll see that simply switching to a Shimano chain (with no other adjustments) results in perfect shifting. You could argue that I can just let the low limit out a bit more, but that would bring it outside Shimano's tolerance, and it also begins to let the chain off the inside of the ring. These issues are augmentsd when actually riding the bike, versus in the stand.
I made this pair of videos for purpose of showing my rep why we are having issues with KMC chains. We've been swapping out the KMC chains with these issues for Shimano ones, and I'm trying to get him to accept returns on the chains.
