Kyle from Transition Bikes on his Singlespeed Bottlerocket

Kyle one of the owners of Transition Bikes just finished building up a singlespeed Bottlerocket and wanted to test it out. Mike Metzger filmed the trip out to a local jump trail. Just goes to show you don't need gears to have fun. We are trying to lead the way for more singlespeed full suspension freeride bikes.

the idea of single speed freeride bikes is great exept for one small fault, usually (unless you can shuttle) you need to climb to the trails where you can have fun so thats why we still need gears.

they should have had Mike Metzger ride lol =). but that is a really cool way to show off this style of riding. i think it will become popular sooner or later.

I always thought it might be a good idea to turn a Bottlerocket into a singlespeed, I might try it out on mine, now that I saw how good it is............. what chain tensioner did you guys use??

Derailleurs can be such a pain!! Especially in the winter. Single speed freeride bikes do sound very enticing.

When was that filmed? Its crazy cold (18 degrees), snowing and windy here. I want to ride but I am afraid the jewels would freeze!
