Hardtail vs. Fort Hill | Commencal Meta HT AM

Testing myself and my new hardtail on the Fort Hill Pro Line at Thunder Mountain in Massachusetts! Love this bike. Years ago, I raced Cat 1 Downhill but have not owned a bike since 2010. COVID-19 cancelled my other hobby, for the time being, so I'm back on the bike (and loving it).

Ive only ever rode hard tails but never have done jumps like that. thats awesome ! How do you know what speed to hit them?

Practice and intuition, honestly. Fortunately for me, there is a lot of content out there on this jump line so I was to see POV videos of people doing them / talking about them so I had somewhat of an understanding of the speed before I tried it. That definitely helped

@jptothetree: Cool , I hope to see you doing the full line on a Hardtail in the future. Damn that crank snapping could have gone way worse.

@slaker: I'm happy there was no damage to the frame (however, my rear wheel is slightly indented where it impacted). Good thing this isn't a race bike otherwise the slight hop it now has would drive me crazy!
