Definitely give it a try, it adds a different perspective to riding and I find it a lot of fun! I would recommend using two lights, helmet light and a handlebar light, it helps a lot with the shadows! The handlebar light should be more of a flood light so it shines light in front of the tire and on your side a little. The helmet light should be more of a beam so it points where you are looking.

Night rides can give you a certain amount of freedom and put a whole new spin on your local trails. You got some skills Bro.

Thanks man, its been awhile, hope all is well!! Very true what you say about night riding. I've always loved night riding for the peace and serenity I feel in the woods while being enveloped by darkness with just the light you shine in front of the path showing your way. Its the type of riding that taps into the most of your instincts and with winter being non existent, in the North East this year, it opens up a lot of riding opportunities.
