"How I Elevate" Bimotal Elevate System

This system is a game changer. I especially love that you can remove the motor and ride your bike on the descents as a normal bike. I decided to mount the system onto my old Norco Sight, and leave my newer Rocky Mountain Altitude enduro bike pure. The Norco was a fairly light trail bike to begin with, thus giving me an e-mtb that weighs just 39 lbs. https://bimotal.com/

Nice video showing this product which I'm interested in. This is the second post I've seen that has talked about removing the motor on descents, as if that is some advantage?

Is the point, you have the option not the obligation to remove the motor quickly?

Or is it more likely that you'll want to remove the motor on a long techy descent to prevent damage in a wreck, since one ding to the motor and its goodbye motor or rear brake alignment? The riding in my area has a lot of rocks so I'm debating getting this for my 575.
