@mikekazimer: luckily where we both live it is just mostly sword fern / salal / oregon grape aka just small shrubs to get through. But once a tree is a tree up to 6 inches in diameter no builder I know would ever cut them down. From the article I was thinking in my mind that maybe they were harvesting trees to build wooden features, which I in particular am not a fan of, so thanks for the clarification!

Wait, this isn't your typical illegal trail building article debate as it says they cut 327 trees, wtf? You don't have to cut trees down to make a path through a forest, this is ridiculous

Jordan's "drift" was definitely interesting on the last wood feature before the finish. Love the slowmo @ 7:30 where you can see both wheels off the surface. At first I thought there was "chicken wire" (for lack of a better term) on the wooden feature as there is the center strip which has a darker gray color than the edges which are still just raw wood color, and that was the reason he saved it, but wait a second, it just looks gray, I can't actually see any wire mesh in that grayed area, and his tires just finally caught friction enough on the wood for him to save it?
