I think promotion would help the most, but not always. A lot comes down to the listener and most underground fans are hard to win as fans these days. The last video with this guy gotten around 2k-3k views, but not much feedback.
It’s not a big deal for me if I don’t make it, as long as I enjoyed making music and expressing myself. It would be nice to have more fans but I still enjoy rapping in general.

 How's it going Troy, yup, I've been doing this for 12 years now and barely gotten far. Only one person has downloaded one of my many mixtapes. I have collabs on Spotify and other platforms, and barely any feedback or fans. I may make my first album in 3-4 years from now and see how it does, but I'll have to ponder on it. I've done two music videos with this guy Ruste Juxx. One in 2017. It barely gotten feedback and views. I'll see how this one does on YouTube. If it isn't successful I'll take a breather at least for a few years. If you check out my Bandcamp, I have tonnes of music and I've only made one sale in 12 years of making music. There's a point that you have to give up, or at least take a break. It's not a big deal for me, I enjoy making music, even if I didn't get many fans. I've promoted on Facebook and other platforms but didn't do very well. At least I tried. Merry Christmas and hope you enjoy your weekend.
