uhmmm, check the geometry and tell me that again. while the frame be very simplistic, it's still intended for dh riding

I am saying the TR is a DH specific bike, the blindside is much more freeride specific with a 135 rear end and a 73mm bb

geometry has a much better say in what kinda of frame it is. having a 135 rear and 73 bb does make it a freeride bike. i'd still want a 150 rear and 83 bb on a freeride bike. any dh bike can be made to look like a freeride bike, like the new session 88 has a build option as a "freeride" bike. i agree that the tr 450 will be a better dh frame

yeah I am pretty sure we are arguing the same point, any bike can be a DH bike, i raced my trail or park this weekend.... but like the video says this is there first step towards giving racers what they want in a bike, the blindside was a rider owned companies try at making a big bike, it was a big bottle rocket

You guys pretty much have it right... the Blindside was built as a downhill bike but not a downhill race bike. Think Whistler bike park, shuttled FR/DH trails, etc... The Blindside has a bit of an FR compromise with the shorter chainstays and more "ramp up" in the travel for big drops, etc. It will stay in the lineup and hit a bit lower price point than the TR450. Still race worthy, but not a full fledged, no compromise race bike.
