you know, there is a man from Vermont who gets paid to travel to build things half as good as what you have! I would tell you now, travel and build and your name will grow even bigger! We could use some really good ideas and trail building here in Vermont! Stop by any time!

i got the same one, but mines not as loud
  • + 2
maybe it just seems loud in the video because there isn't much other noise besides the lady humming.

i dunno my buddy has the same one as me to and his is louder

the hubs louder if it was no greese in it

no they are meant to sound like that, diffferent model= louder or not as loud, grease has nothing to do with it
  • + 2
I believe it does have somthing to do with grease, as a friend of mine had his re-greased and it was much quieter, but you are right about them being made like that such as Hope Pro 2 are super clicky

Gunot, while design has a large role on how loud a hub is, a greased hub is always quieter. when the pawls slide past eachother in the hub, if its dry it makes a click when it reaches/passed an engagement point, if there is grease it is a muffled click. Buy a new hub and listen to the noise, then after riding two months listen again and the hub will be louder and click raspier. This is because the grease has dried up from inside the hub.

Also, there are many other variables such as spoke count, gauge/tension/rim size, tire selection/pressure, frame material/size, resonance frequency of every component plays a huge role in pitch, tone and decibels. just so everyone knows -its a Ringle abbah 12x135 on a mag 30, and it was by far the loudest wheel I have ever owned.
