Fort William is over and we saw what the latest & greatest bikes can do in the hands of the world's fastest racers. It's now time for a reality check as the greatest race series on the face of the earth is once again upon us! It's time for the 2013 Bud Light Phat Wednesday Series in Whistler to begin. After a record breaking season in 2012, I'm sure I'm not the only one shaking with excitement for the fun times that are guaranteed to follow.
Only racers who are brave enough may enter and put it all on the line with a single run. There aren't any qualifying runs, oversized inflatables or half-naked, cross-dressing announcers here. Just a small dedicated team of organisers and an even smaller French-man called Seb (sorry dude). You have to queue to collect your plate, pay $2 entry (this gets you a beer at the end) and be willing to rub shoulders with Stevie Smith, Kenny Smith, Chris Kovarik, Jackson Goldstone, Casey Brown & Claire Buchar.
In this town, everyone is welcome and anyone can win. If the following videos don't get you stoked to come join us, then at least go race some buddies at your local trails. The Bud Light Phat Wednesday Series - It's not the winning, it's the taking part.
