The water was cold but the competition was hot... Check out Anthony Mesere and Mitch Chubey's piggyback pond crossing attempt and see Tim Allen put it in the bag for his second year in a row!

Events like this one and the Whip Off contest are almost more exciting to watch than the same old tricks being done in the other competitions!

I like how most of them have no chance, but they still try anyway just for the fun of it. Thats cool. Way more laid back than the other comps at crankworx.

mountain bike needs more of these types of event!

years ago (ok....mid 1990s) we had a huge bike event here in the UK called the "Malvern Classic" which featured XC, DH and Dual Eliminator

and after the racing was all done..on Sunday afternoon we had a LAKE JUMPING competition

www.pinkbike.com/photo/5294039

I would bring my BMX to the race, just for the lake jumping, SO much fun!

we would get race guys like Steve Peat, Darren Tapp and Will Longden down by the Lake watching all the lunatics hucking themselves into the water off the 1/4 pipe

this is rad. this reminds me of the goofey, just-have-fun events they had at the Texas Toast Jam. I think one thing mountain biking has to do is make sure it doesn't get too serious, stuff like this is perfect, i wanna see more of this at every slopestyle comp, dh race, jump comp, whatever. RAD!

That's awesome! I'd have more fun spectating that than watching a flippy double whippy thingamajig.

Looks easier than last year's. But at least they didn't have to deal with the tubes popping every other rider.

It was 140ft across 8" wide and floating/moving around on you the whole way. Yep, that's cake....not! Was very fun though!
