Race Face Signs ‘Freeride Legend’ Brett Tippie - Indefinitely!

Vancouver, BC - June 15, 2011 - Race Face Performance Products Inc., a global leader in premium mountain bike components, apparel and protection, has signed legendary freeride athlete Brett Tippie, indefinitely.

In addition to rocking the brand’s latest components and protective gear this season, Tippie also assumes the title of social network guru as one of the regular contributing voices on the Race Face Twitter and Facebook pages.

“I am so relieved that Race Face is back in action! I’ve become good friends and family with many of the crew over the years. The products really are the cat’s ass, and I’m sincerely pumped to ride, test and promote them,” said Brett. “At first, when I heard Race Face was gone, I sadly thought, ‘cranks for the memories’, and now that they’re back, I’m happy to spend my life behind bars - Atlas freeride bars that is!”.

Tippie’s passion for riding, trademark laugh and ‘anything is possible, and possibly fun’ approach to life have seen him parley a ground-breaking riding career into a respected industry ambassador. His insane schedule this season has him hosting at Crankworx, coaching for both Camp of Champions and Escape Adventures, filming webisodes of his popular online series Just the Tip and announcing contests like the FMB stop Jump Ship in Victoria Harbour.

“Tip’s roots with Race Face run deep” said Chris Tutton, Managing Director, “He has been with the brand since the inception of freeride, before the freeride scene existed. Brett evokes a sense of nostalgia, and brings with him a legendary riding career and genuine love of our brand and product lines. We are thrilled to have him back onboard, rebuilding the new Race Face.”

Welcome home Tip!
