The iconic stairs of the Valpo urban event. Hopefully this gives a little perspective on just how steep and how long they really are.
The views from the top of the course are pretty stunning in every direction.
That peak is the largest mountain outside of the Himalayas. Talk of a heli shuttle session is being tossed around for some time in the future.

Parts of Valparaiso are a Unesco World Heritage site and are definitely worth visiting.

Anyone order some ramps? Most of the obstacles were built at the Oxford bikes factory in Santiago this year and delivered on a flat bed truck, giving the course workers much more time to do detail work and reinforcing work once they were in place.
The ramps got a few finishing touches and reinforcements this week after being delivered.
The biggest jump on the track was built in place and took 3 days to get completed. They were adding finishing touches on race morning, but it looked bigger and better than ever before.
Street art is highly regarded here. This project was going in on Friday on the side of someone's house on course. Scroll down to see what it eventually looked like!

Sometimes your day just doesn't go as planned. This rider got hung up on the black railing to the right and got spun around and thrown on his head in the high speed stairs. He got up and rode away after shaking out the cobwebs.
Pinkbikers know Rafa. He shreds the bike park at Whistler on 2 prosthetic legs. He races everything at crankworx and he certainly has some cojones grandes. He had a massive crash here on Sunday in practice and was taken out on a backboard. To show he was ok he pulled off a leg and waved it at the crowd, much to their delight.

Eliot Jackson does his best Icarus impression and flies close to the sun. Luckily his wings didn't melt.
Got crowds? This is looking up the ski jump at the very top of the course. Spectators lined both sides this year and were treated to quite the show.
