Recognising that women have different set-up needs from the men, Norco have fitted out a carbon Sight for women who like to shred the trails up and down. The Sight Forma 7.3 will come kitted with touch point components that aim to ensure more comfort and efficiency on the bike. The Forma will sell for $4415 USD.
Bern have been working away quietly at a women's specific trail helmet and are ready now to release the Prescott into the market. The Prescott uses a liquid foam injection system called Zip Mould for their helmets that gives a much lower profile than regular PU foam systems. The Prescott has a smaller shell size than a men's lid, has a higher arch in the back for ponytail compatibility and comes with a BOA tension system. Bern are proud of the fact that their lines are split 50/50 between men's and women's product. Nice one Bern.
We like what GoPro have done here. Girls' weekend away in the Porsche rally car with the Julianas on the rack and the trail dog ready to rip. We'd go on that adventure.
Here's something different - Race Face have developed a women's specific Stash Vest. The vest is made from a combination of mesh and lycra, has three rear pockets for tools and nutrition and a higher set back pocket that will fit a one liter hydration bag. With more and more people leaning away from carrying hydration packs on shorter rides, we could see the Stash being a winner.
Race Face has left their female clothing line structurally and graphically unchanged this year except for these two items. The ever popular Khyber short will be welcoming bright orange into the range and the DIY Short has gotten a full overhaul at the waist. Instead of the zippered front fly with dual snap closure and Velcro reinforcement of the past, the DIY will now come with a stretch waist band that is light weight and looks to be uber-comfortable.
Developed by Clif Bar co-owner Kit Crawford, the Kit's Organic range of fruit and nut bars are intended to be simple, organic, gluten free, soy free and dairy free. The best part is that unlike the ProBar, these won't get melty in your pocket.
Endura has released a new comfortable looking padded boxxer made from extruded polyester, bamboo and charcoal. The extrusion process means there are no seams on the garment and the material feels lovely and soft as well as being anti microbial.
Mavic have a few jackets on the market that will do well to keep you shielded from the elements. The Cloud jacket in elegant plumb is intended to be a wind jacket, but is actually also 5000mm waterproof and is extremely packable. At $89.95 if you needed something light for emergencies this could be the answer. The Athena jacket is a little more serious when it comes to business and is constructed from 37.5 material which has coconut food waste microbials injected in it that wick moisture and help keep your body temperature in the sweet zone. The Athena is 15,000mm water proof and retails for $160 USD.
If you need a little Euro in your look, Scott Sports will be releasing a limited range into North America including the Trail Mountain 20 technical tee and the Trail Mountain 40 short.

Why do all these companies think that woman want Pink/fucia/lilac/pastels for color schemes? those helmets are terrible and look completely uncomfortable.
I also love how these multi million dollar companies can't seem to afford real manequines/models to sport their gear at a show. lol
Yippee!!
I like the style on the Scott line too.
