2014 Kona Precept DL Ridden by my wife 5-6 timee since purchase brand new, though it would catch on but it didn't Completely OEM spec, nothing changed, been hanging in my basement for awhile. As new, drivetrain is clean and shows zero wear. Paid over $1800 Asking $1000 Specs: http://2014.konaworld.com/precept_dl.cfm Will consider trade for a nice newer 56cm Road bike.

Old As Dirt: XC World Cup 2, Albstadt – Course Preview
This course is about pegging the heart rate at the redline and holding on. This is definitely an advantage to the cardio master is the groups over the technical wizards. Can't wait to watch!

@Sshredder: I don't know where you are shopping at LBS but my LBS has given their life to the sports they sell. They have very few guys making minimum wage and promote the local trails, events, kids through various sponsorships. This is the way in at least 4 of the places I've lived. In fact some of the shop kids know more about the bikes then the manufacturer.

Their Customer service is the worst I can remember, I went there, bought a pair of trail runners from Salomon. Price was normal on them, same as other retailers. Went to Sport Check and they had the same shoes on for 30% off. I decided to give MEC the chance and honor their matching policy. They told me to go pound sand. I tried to use reason on the girl helping me, but she just glazed over when I brought up their OWN matching policy....no dice, so I returned them and bought from SportChek. I find them horribly overpriced and even the "MEC" branded gear is like 5% less then the better quality brands.

The Kali Road Warrior
5 years is the max for a helmet, industry experts told me this while I was selling helmets. This completely depends on what type of weather you ride in as UV rays break down the plastics a lot quicker then anything.

Canadian XC National Championship
State of the XCo is that you need EXTREME commitment to get to this level. In the nineties, a regular racer who liked to ride their bike a lot could hang with many of the big guns, now, it's impossible for the regular guy who isn't a 9-5 Bike racer to get at that level. which is why Enduro and other types of racing are becoming more popular(ie marathons where theres 1000 racers on the start line) Who wants to enter a XCO as an elite and finish dead last 25 mins after the last guy? lol

CamelBak Introduces New M.U.L.E., Soft Bottles, and Updated Reservoir - Press Camp 2016
I still rock a Mule from about 2002, you'd be shocked to know it's 100% original including the bladder, clean it up few times a year with some good disassembly and good wash and it's good to go. I really hate the bright colors and lack of some tactical scheme though. My current one is Desert camo.

I don't like any of it really enough to part with a few $100's. That's just me though, and I'm older then the guy that said he was old.
