With less than two weeks to go before Crankworx Rotorua, Kelly McGarry, Tom Hey and Adam King are putting the finishing touches on a world class slopestyle course. Building a course like this is a high pressure job. They need to create a course that is both spectator friendly and challenging to the world's best riders. All the take-offs and landings must be dialled - if their math is off, someone is going to get hurt. We caught up with the three builders in the final days, as they nailed in the last few boards, packed down the take-offs and tested out their handiwork for the very first time. McGarry got the unenviable and nerve-wracking task of being course guinea pig, the first rider to run the jumps making sure everything flows smoothly.
Stay tuned for full coverage from Rotorua in the coming weeks.

Empire of dirt has also done an awesome job with the rest of the event building. Super tidy dirt art.
