 Peaty was 1.43 up at the second split, then went over the bars at the big drop off before the flat near the finish... gutted...

 Yeah peaty was faster, but that doesn't mean be should have won. He might have been pushing it too hard, it's not all about going stupid fast (even though Gee was), it's about staying on the bike. Gee deserved to win IMO.

 did you see him point over to the camera's on the road gap? then "jump" into the berm so the commentaters thought Wink but when he walked into the room he was like "hey everybody,i almost just died" haha. always has time to throw in style..

 I have never seen anyone (in person) ride a mountain bike as fast as Peaty was when he flew through the rock garden. Look at the speed and the splits, he had it won! Big time congrats to the Athertons, I was hoping Gee would pull off the overall. Everyone needs to look out for Blekinsop, he is going to be the man to beat very soon. Sam HIll, get well soon. You are still one of the fastest men on two wheels! Peaty, you are my hero!

 Man what a day. To be able see a World Cup on US soil and only have to drive a few hours to see it is incredible The race was amazing, the track was better then I expected. This being the first year back in the states I was not surprised by the small attendance. I think next years attendance will be much bigger as Americans understand what a special event this was. What a race Gregg, Pete, Gee, Aaron where just flying. You really have to see it in person to understand how big, how fast and how smooth they are. I cannot wait for next year. More cowbells

 Only if Dan Atherton was there- his possible win in 4X would have made it an Atherton Sweep. Get Well soon Big Guy! Congrats to Nick Beer for getting a top 5! And Aaron Gwin in the top 5 overalls is the dawing of a new era for USA racing. Too bad USA Cycling is clueless.

 Watched it live... Shit went down. Peaty would have had the fastest time gnarly crash though. Brosnan was looking fast but 18th wow too many ahead of him!!
