The city of Nelson, nestled in the Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia, Canada has produced a fair share of legendary riders over the past few years. Freeride pioneers, Rampage Champions and Knolly's riders Garett Buehler and Evan Schwartz to name just a few consistent contributors to progression of our sport. It is no wonder Freeride Entertainment started and still operates out of the small town. To nobody's surprise talent continues to come out of the area. We're excited to announce that Nelson local, young gun and future freeriding star Alex Volokhov is joining Knolly Bikes for 2015!
A look at the historic Mountain Biking landscape through the eyes of Margus Riga:Alex impressed us in 2014 riding with the industry's top athletes at "
Hoffest" and putting some work into a guest appearance for a movie coming out this Spring. He followed up a strong summer releasing his own self promoted edit showcasing his skills shredding on his Podium:
| I couldn't be more pumped on joining Knolly Bikes this year. Teaming up with a great brand that is passionate about the sport is going to be awesome! Having rode the Podium last year it's safe to say it's one of the best DH bikes I've ever tossed a leg over. I cannot wait to kick off the 2015 season along side some of the best teammates with the best support out there! Thanks Knolly! - Alex Volokhov |
Alex had some great references, one of which being Garett Buehler (who's recommendations we never take lightly), but it was't until we met Alex that we wanted to bring him into the mix. He fits our brand well with a laid back, respectful demeanour who is approachable and can talk about how well the bikes perform. We're looking forward to supporting Alex as he progresses his career and we can't wait to see what he brings to the table.

He doesn't does he.
When I think of "young talent", I think of....oh say Anthony Messere!
Still a good rider though.
