@GetTheMostWannted They are cutting down mud tires. Mud tires have knobs like long spikes - good for gripping mud, but unstable on any hard surface (they fold over). So they cut down mud spikes as a compromise between mud grip and rock grip, or as a muddy track dries and they need better hard-surface grip. HTH.
